Auditions
Chicago-based, Red Clay Dance, under the artistic direction of VershawnSanders-Ward, is seeking one professional female dancer with training in modern (Horton/Dunham techniques), West African, improvisation and ballet technique. Comfort with a collaborative creative process, an interest in community building through dance, and previous performance experience is preferred. Immediate hire.
Red Clay Dance is a professional company that creates and performs a diverse repertoire of contemporary dance infused with the vibrant movement and culture of the African Diaspora. Paid rehearsals and performances.
Must be available to begin rehearsals Monday, May 5, 2014. New choreographic projects are in process. Current season ends May 29, 2014.
Current rehearsal schedule: Mondays: 10-12:30pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6-8pm
2014-2015 contract season dates: July 28, 2014 -May 21, 2015
Rehearsal schedule for next season: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday---> 10am-1pm
Performance/Touring dates (August-November and January-March) are secured. Additional dates are in process.

Submit professional headshot and resume to info@redclaydance.com by April 25tth for an invitation to audition. Audition will consist of a ballet barre, improvisation and company repertory.
