Instructor Lyn Coel (Miss Lyn) teaches a variety of classes for children and adults and has an excellent portfolio of teaching experience. She was an instructor at Old Town School of Folk Music
for 19 years. She is running her own studio. Lyn Coel has experience teaching tap, ballet, hip-hop, and jazz dance for early learners age three and up. Classes for beginner to advanced students for both children and adults will be available. A philosophy of the studio is that anyone can enjoy the health benefits of dance and learn skills regardless of their age or prior experience. Everyone is welcome in this family-oriented learning space.
The teaching philosophy of this studio is guided by the value of positive relationships. There is an emphasis on positive relationships between the instructor and the students, among the students themselves, between the students and their bodies, and between the students and the world. Dance is appraoched as a method of accessing inner strength, personal growth, empowerment, and communication.
