LOUD BODIES partners with the nonprofit Chicago Period Project to create “Legalize Menstruation,” a performance and discussion about menstruation that aims to end the taboo surrounding periods and increase awareness for the lack of accessibility to menstrual hygiene products that people face across the country.
During the process of creating and performing this piece, LOUD BODIES will also organize an audience-wide collection of menstrual hygiene products at performances to be given to in-need people through the Chicago Period Project system. Doors will open at 7:00p.m. on Saturday and 4:30p.m. on Sunday. The menstrual product donation collection will begin at that time. Performances will begin at 7:30p.m. on Saturday and 5:00p.m. on Sunday.
