Angie Hauser is a BESSIE Award winning choreographer, dancer, and teacher. Her work is grounded by questions of improvisation, performance, and collaboration. She is a senior member of the Bebe Miller Company, and has also danced in the companies of Elizabeth Streb, Liz Lerman, and Poppo Shirashi. She creates improvised performance works with many gifted artists, including Darrell Jones, Lisa Gonzales, Andrew Harwood, K.J. Holmes and musicinas Mike Vargas and Jesse Manno. She maintains a long-time creative collaboration with Chris Aiken. Their work has been supported by the National Performance Network and national presenters. She teaches dance improvisation throughout North America and Europe. She is an Assistant Professor at Smith College where she teaches choreography, improvisation, and contemporary dance technique.
