This year we are happy to bring you, Beyond the Nutcracker Tea, a special day full of magical performance up-close in Ballet 5:8’s in-studio black box theater featuring many of the main characters from The Beyond the Nutcracker, with all handmade costume, and original choreography by Ballet 5:8 Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager. After the performance, attendees will enjoy light refreshments and meet the characters for photos and Q&A.
Beyond the Nutcracker Tea brings the South Suburbs favorite Nutcracker to the accessible space of Ballet 5:8’s Studio Theatre. Small Audience sizes, no lighting effects, and flexible seating make it a perfect introduction to ballet for all audiences.
