In the second of the workshop series refresh your memory on key concepts in the filmic language, learn and practice different types of shots and shot set ups, practice using your camera to capture footage with knowledgeable instructors to guide you. In each workshop participants will rotate through different roles on set, and will Direct, Shoot, Perform and will work / collaborate in teams.

 

Prerequisite:

Each person must bring 30 seconds of choreography (use of levels encouraged, some travel steps) Bring your camera, (cell phone camera is fine) tripod, gimbal (if you have one). We strongly encourage you to research the functions of your camera. You don't need to be an expert, but please come with a basic understanding of how to adjust your camera's settings and shoot in manual -- even if it's just a cellphone! This is a beginner friendly intermediate course that focusses on practice and implementation of basic knowledge learned during the online workshops.
