Ishami Dance Company are bringing their critically acclaimed dance production, Pehchaan (Identity), to Chicago! Their show explores the unique identities we experience as South Asians of the diaspora. They dream of what a world that embraces us wholly could look like while articulating the realities of our lived experiences. They share stories of migration and displacement, the invisible work of women, the beauty and resilience of queer love and more.
Pehchaan features live music by Grammy nominated artist Annette Philip (Zahara).
