We're returning to Ruth Page with our innovative Inside/Out series for the first time!

Cerqua Rivera Cofounder and Artistic Director Wilfredo Rivera unpack his 2013 work LÁGRIMAS NEGRAS, commissioned by the Auditorium Theatre.

Lágrimas Negras (Black Tears) is a 1931 bolero-son by Miguel Matamoros. This version infuses the Latin classic with the exuberance of Salsa and Tropical sounds.

The movement is a tribute to the Latinx diaspora— inspired by Wilfredo's early days of Latin social dancing as a Honduran immigrant growing up in New Orleans.

Work in progress performed and discussed by members of our Dance Ensemble and Jazz Orchestra.

Tickets $15 - 30.

Inside/Out is our interactive event series that showcases works in progress and invites you INSIDE the creative process. Each event includes performance of new work-in-the-making, conversation with the artists, audience participation activities, and the opportunity for you to shape the new work with your feedback and input.
