Continuing Moving Dialogs 2014 theme of Global Exchange, *Moving In/Out of "Tradition" explores the multilayers of culture as it relates to perceived notions of contemporary and classical forms. Guggenheim award-winning choreographer, dance studies scholar and founder of Ananya Dance Theatre, Dr. Ananya Chatterjea moderates this immersive conversation joined by Hari Krishan, respected dance scholar, Wesleyan University professor and international choreographer/artistic director of Toronto’s InDance with emerging choreographer Anjal Chande of Soham Dance; interweaving an expansive discussion surrounding classical & contemporary Indian dance with intercultural movements and larger global concerns.
