Event Description

The Nexus Project is a family-friendly evening of storytelling and contemporary dance, first produced in November of 2013 and now back for a second round. The performance puts contemporary dance into a conversational environment, allowing for an intimate experience and conversation between the audience and performers. Because of this, each performance is a bit different, but what we can promise is every performance will be full of impressive feats and a whole lot of heart. We've created a show that feels like going over to friends' house for dinner (if your friends were also highly skilled contemporary dancers). This is our home and we invite you to sit down, relax and let us treat you to a one-of-a-kind experience.

In 2014, The Nexus Project was named one of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch", received a full page feature in Chicago Magazine, a front page feature on Crain's Magazine, and was commissioned by Chicago Dancing Festival to create a new work for their 2014 performances at The Museum of Contemporary Art, an unprecedented occurrence for such a young company.
