Join us for some fun dancing this winter! Though we cannot hold in-person classes at our normal Park District locations, we encourage students from Loyola Park, Berger Park and beyond to continue taking classes with us, online.
This beginner level activity is an introduction to hip hop and jazz dance, adapted for a virtual space. This class introduces students to music and movement from both styles with progressive warm ups and fun combinations. Hip Hop instruction includes elements of popping, locking, breaking, and improvisation. Jazz instruction includes stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and dance combinations. The class will culminate with a virtual “mini-performance” on the last day, where students will be encouraged to invite friends and family members to join the Zoom session and watch them dance!
FREE, registration required for Zoom link.
Registration will close on Friday, February 19th.
