Collaboraction's 5th Annual "Peacebook"

 

Three diverse Chicago choreographers - Vernon D. Gooden, Darling Shear and Luzzo - have contributed three of the 10 world premiere virtual video shorts that make up the 5th annual "Peacebook" produced by Collaboraction, Chicago's theater for social change. Gooden premieres "Brother! Blackbird," pondering what would it be like to meet your past and future versions of yourself. Darling Shear performs "Back To Me," fusing dance and poetry to pay homage to the music of her youth. Luzzo's new work is "I Used to Write with My Left Hand," about generational trauma caused by homophobia within Chicago’s South side Irish Catholic community.
