Alluvion Dance Chicago (ADC) is an emerging contemporary dance company based in Chicago, Illinois. Rooted in contemporary dance with elements of contemporary ballet, and musical theatre style dance, ADC strives to captivate its audience in a new, eclectic and humanistic way. ADC's core purpose is to create and display new and innovative contemporary dance choreography through a non-textual dance theatre style, bringing forward an understandable story, allowing the audience to question social norms, making this new form available to audiences and students of all ages and from all ethnic backgrounds. Through public performance at local venues throughout Chicago, ADC believes that dance can unify, enrich, and educate the community. Recognized for its uncomfortable humanistic approach, and memorable artistry, Alluvion Dance Chicago continues on its journey right here in Chicago, Illinois.
Esoteric Dance Project (EDP) is dedicated to the development of the artist, as both performer and choreographer, by providing technique-based education in a nurturing environment while offering a platform for exploration of new creativity that cultivates a profound relationship between choreographer, emerging artist, and the audience. EDP embraces the art form’s historical past and believes that with a genuine foundation and “esoteric” knowledge of the classical and codified techniques, every dancer is a more artistically expanded and efficient performer. It is the goal of Esoteric Dance Project to demystify the skilled craft of modern dance and lead audiences to engage, observe and appreciate both the mastery and the freedom that is this art form.
Banks Performance Project (BPP) was founded in Chicago, IL in January 2017 by Elysia C. Banks. Since its founding, BPP has performed at venues such at the Goodman Theatre, Theatre on the Lake, The Center on Halsted, Collaboration Studios, and Hamilton Park Cultural Center. Hamilton Park Cultural Center also serves as the resident rehearsal space for the company. Banks Performance Project strives to create works that are honest, sincere, and authentic to real life experience. We inspire to give the audience an impactful experience and encourage both dancers and audience members to allow themselves to be truthful.
All About Dance Adult Company is part of Chicago's premier dance studio that starts training at age 18 months and continues through pre-professional across every genre: ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, modern, lyrical, acro and tap. For our more serious dancers, we also offer a variety of supporting technique classes as well. In order to provide this well-rounded dance education, we have created curriculum goals and paths at every stage across every genre and offer expert instructors in each genre to inspire and train our dancers.
