Crash's hip hop fusion style tells the story of the Wicked Witch and her plan to coax others into building her a magical road.

Who ever told Osnel Delgado it would be a “misstep” or “malpaso” to form a new dance company in Havana underestimated the talents of this enterprising young choreographer/dancer and his dancing compatriots. While Malpaso Dance Company of Havana makes its Chicago debut this weekend at The Dance Center of Columbia College (Thursday-Friday-Saturday, 7:30 PM), it has plenty of American connections. Formed in 2012, Malpaso is an associate company of Joyce Theater Productions in New York and tours frequently in the U.S.
No Overture. Lights come up on a sixteen-piece chamber orchestra filling half of the Harris Theater stage. Just in front of the orchestra, a pool of light illuminates a solitary man slouched in an upholstered Victorian arm chair.
Join the celebration at the kickoff of the Fifth Annual Chicago Dance Month on Navy Pier on Monday, April 3 featuring FREE performances from 6:00-7:15pm in the Aon Grand Ballroom. The program includes performances by Ayodele, Giordano Dance II, Natya Dance Theater and Culture Shock Chicago.
